Hey there! So it’s a new year and we want to start off by thanking everyone for making 2011 the best year for No Remission thus far. We met a lot of new people and awesome bands, got to play on some of NYC’s most prestigious stages, and FINALLY released “Through Blackened Skies” in a very epic fashion. So a big cheers to everyone who made this year kick some serious ass- all the sick bands that we played with, promoters who have made real shows happen, and fans who came and shed blood and sweat.

Looking towards the future, our only choice is obviously to make this year even more amazing and bitch slap 2011 like a boss! We will continue to bring our brand of metal to new audiences. We hope to share the stage with more incredible bands, meet more wonderful people and play bigger and better shows. We will also be debuting new material live. There are a number of new songs that we have been working on for quite som time. Last week we debuted “Skin Junkie”, a story of internet porn addiction. That was nothing! The rest of the new material we have will prove that you have not heard anything yet. We in No Remission have always pushed the envelope of everything we’ve done in the past and now is no different. We will never release the same album twice, we can leave that to Slayer. But I promise you that the new songs will include all of what you love about this band and a lot that you may not expect. Globally, things aren’t looking so good in 2012 so there is plenty to write about. But we hope to begin recording some time this year and if we are all lucky, we will survive to hear the next record. Either way, this is the last year we will be playing the song ’2012′. Alright fuckers. Pay attention this year for it is time to make NY the metal homeland that it deserves to be. -NR

OK so it’s been a while since we’ve updated you all on the production of our live DVD from our record release show. Rest assured we are hard at work on this thing. The audio sounds great and the footage is amazing. However, there is a lot of it. Over 4 hours worth multiplied by 7 different cameras to be specific. So suffice it to say it’s a lot to sift through. Also this is DIY meaning family and friends are dedicating their free time to work on this thing. We’ll owe them our first born when this is all said and done. That being said, we’ve put together a teaser so you all don’t think we’re full of shit. It contains only our music because frankly that was all that was mixed at the time. Rest assured ALL 4 bands will be include it and they all absolutely murdered the stage that evening. Anyone who was there can attest to that.

On a side note, we sent out a survey to everyone who donated to our kickstarter to collect shipping info. Very few have responded. If you didn’t get an email but you did donate, check your spam folder or just email us at noremission@hotmail.com to collect your reward.

We will keep you all updated as the project continues and offer some other cool sneak peaks along the way. Thanks and as always keep it heavy.

Ok so it’s been 10 days since our record release party at The Studio @ Webster hall and we’re just getting around to writing this but hey this fancy website shit is new to us so fuck off.

As most of you know the show was a COMPLETE success. We packed the venue to capacity and it was a beautiful site. If you missed it check here for a glimpse. There’s something big brewing in the NYC metal scene and we’re honored to be a part of it .

That being said we’d like to thank first and foremost all of the fans, friends, and other bands who came out and tore up the pit (which was raging all night) with us. Thanks to Alissa of Brutal Bitches Productions and Jo Schuftan of Horns Up Rocks for promoting the event with us and helping to make it the success that it was. Our new friend Tim No. 37 of No Mercy Metal for helping out. And last but CERTAINLY not least Nick (who also does all of our artwork) Alex and Evan for filming and helping us make this DVD a reality.

Speaking of the DVD we are currently in the very beginning stages of editing the footage and mixing the live audio (which sounds amazing.) We will have updates on that soon but you can expect ALL 4 bands set’s, all types of interviews by Jo Schuftan and some backstage shenanigans just to name a few things. It was the best night in No Remission history and we can’t wait to share it with everyone.
